Colleagues have found if you do not know her, this free software that works like Audacity or Sonic Visualizer pluggins , and can extract quite closely musical notes from an mp3 audio file, which greatly facilitates our work in the jams for which we have great musical knowledge or find difficulty some clues to detect the right notes.

Like all free software I put links to those interested:

Audacity http://www.audacityteam.org/
Sonic Visualizer http://www.sonicvisualiser.org/
Chordino pluggins http://www.isophonics.net/nnls-chroma

The pluggins must install both Audacity as Sonic according to your tastes in order to activate it, then just load the mp3 file in the DAW editor and the option to analyze the online Chordino and you will have musical notes on a panel attached to audio editing. There are other paid versions that do this work for free, but this is really good. I use Audacity audio editor, but also use Sonic is even more clear in the presentation of the chord sequence

I hope you like and enjoy them

Cheers

I'll give it a try

One other tip is transcribe .
It got good reviews by Pat Metheny, Jennifer Batten, Derek Gripper and numerous others.

You have the opportunities to
Slow down
Change pitch
Analyse notes
Analyse chords

Not free though

Good one, Mario - and you wrote this almost 3 years ago, wow!

Here's a short video explaining the how and why, for those who are interested:

And it's free software, available for all platforms - what else could one wish for?

Cheers,

I use this sometimes for some tunes (specifically for guitar) , it works pretty good. It's real good for simpler stuff , complex chords it doesn't do so well.
https://pro.riffstation.com/ It's free.
