Second Hand Idea

Bought a countersigned original copy,
Of a second-hand stupid idea,
Carried it around in a skin bound bible,
Way to keep a conscience clear.

I like what I like and say what I mean,
I'm a simple kind-a sap (on the whole),
And I don't trust people,

Get me a small plot right next to the ocean,
You can bury me there when I die,
