I was interested to know if any of our wiki acoustic guitar players use the James Taylor tuning method.

Didn't know yet but already adapted to Capo compensate especially the low E string a little.

Interesting!

I've read a bit and found:
James Taylor sweetened Capodaster compensation:

- **Low E**: -12 cents
- **A**: -10 cents
- **D**: -8 cents
- **G**: -4 cents
- **B**: -6 cents
- **High E**: -3 cents .

Yes I just tried it but I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not, although my tuner is not that accurate to begin with:W

I sometimes use a variation of that method to compensate for intonation.

That's good to know, your guitar always seems to be perfectly in tune on your tracks Frankie:W

Interesting. Didn't know about that particular compensation, and I don't have any tuner that precise so... but I noticed that using a capo, the notes tend to be a bit sharp, that's why sometimes I tune my guitar a little flat to compensate. I've noticed that the G string tend to be very sharp, so even when I'm not using a capo I tune it a bit flat... Some won't bother with all that and they'll buy a true temperament guitar.
