Standing on the back of the ferry boat yesterday,
Staring at a view of the past,
Ugly landscapes shrink away rapidly,
Never really thought it could last,
But it came on quickly,
And it faded slow,

But it came up slowly,
And it faded quick,
Harder to comprehend syncopation,
Even when you know it's a trick.
