Billy met Pam,
At a poetry jam,
In the Village back in 2014,
Open mic night,
When the words cut up right,
With the spaces locked down in-between.
Billy got a view of Madison Avenue,
High in a steel/glass tower,
Chasing a dream of American fortune,
Wasting his life by the hour.
Billy won't you tell me,
Tell me how does it feel,
When the love of your life is a fleeting moment,
Like a frame in a movie reel?
Pam got a condo on Long Beach Island,
Works for a real estate firm,
Tryin' to put money away for the future,
Thinkin' about full term.
And she wouldn't tell you,
Not even if she could,
The way that she feels sitting up in the night,
Wond'rin' what she misunderstood.
Billy saw Pam,
On a Boston tram,
He was headed out of Fenway Park,
Kid by her side,
She was glowing with pride,
He got off and walked into the dark.
Billy won't you tell me,
Tell me how does it feel,
When the love of your life is a fleeting moment,
Like a frame in a movie reel?

I support wikiloops because it's a great way for musicians around the world to share ideas and not have their egos kill each other. Thanks.
