Open letter to all wikiloops musicians

Below is the text of an email we all received via the wikiloops contact form yesterday -
I asked for permission to re-post it here and just received that, so here's the message for you:

Let me tell you in a short story the purpose of this email.
I am a caregiver for my 90 year old mother.
In December 2021, my mother was restless and stressed because of her severe arthritis illness and other conditions of care. I was looking for a way to help her manage her anxiety that got to the point of losing sleep. I knew she liked instrumental guitar music, so I searched the web, until I found your website.

It was there that I found the best instrumental guitar music I have ever heard. Melodies from ROBJOL, FrankieJ, OLIVEBEE, Zuleikha L, Woodstock and Frank Mill, Balfo and many others, have helped me assist my 90 year mother into a calm relaxing state.
She loves all 79 songs I have managed to record for her in CD's and in my phone, to be able to play back to her, every single day since January this year (2022).

I needed to write to congratulate and profoundly thank all these musicians for the recordings of the most beautiful music my mother and I have heard in years.
Thanks to them, my mother is in better health and sleeping regularly, as we continue to have have 2 hour daily sessions of this music.

Therefore, my mother and I want to express our immense gratitude to Wiki Loops for starting this fantastic website that encourages musicians to post their wonderful and extraordinary inspirations.

Together, the musicians and Wiki Loops have brought a little more passion in a 90 year old ladies’ life.

Wow isn't this a lovely letter? Makes me proud to be involved in this beautiful project (even though my guitar is probably not the relaxing kind I guess :D ). Music can have such a deep effect on people, on people playing it and also those listening to it. Well done to to all the Loopers creating music for the love of it, and especially to Dick for making it all possible.

We are often looking for the best sound, the best equipment and all too often forget what is important, the listener. He doesn't care or care about our problems. All that matters to him is whether the music grabs you. It should be exactly like this. It's about the piece, the music and we can be the bringers of this feeling! A great letter that once again makes us aware of what it is actually about, not about the laurels, but about what we are able to say to the listener..

Wir sind oft auf der Suche nach dem besten sound, dem besten Ecuipment und vergessen allzu oft das wesentliche, den Zuhörer. Ihm sind unsere Probleme fremd oder egal. Ihm ist nur wichtig ob die Musik einen packt. Genauso soll es sein. Es geht um das Stück, die Musik und wir dürfen die Überbringer dieses Gefühls sein! Ein tolles Schreiben welches uns mal wieder bewusst macht, worum es eigentlich geht, nicht um die Loorbeeren, sondern um das, was wir im stande sind dem Zuhörer zu sagen..
