If you have a lot of 32bit VST's go with 32bit daw.
Unless there are 64bit replacements for your 32 vst's.
32bit vst's will not work in 64bit daw unless you use vst bridging
which can be messy in my opinion.
I think Reaper has built-in support for bridging.
The trend is 64bit.

Agree with Franky. 32bit VST's do not work with 64bit programs (DAW) unless you use jbridge which is just better to use 64 bit programs instead of messing with jbridge.

Pfffft.... any decent DAW can run 32 Bit VST's on a 64 Bit CPU....the other way around is a no go :* We're talking PC here, not half eaten apples! :P DAW's like Sonar/Cakewalk, Reaper and Cubase run these without any hassle!

Egil I think it depends which VST's and which DAW. I've tried 32bit and some didn't work.

Some old VST's are just crap and failing for other reasons, there are no logic in not being able to run 32bit stuff on 64bit :@ But anyways, Mike should go for a 64bit DAW, no matter what! :D :D :D

Pro tools---not the best. It has a few good functions but it gets complicated and has other issues.
