Could someone open the wikiwindows to lower the temperature in the room?
I think we need to give everyone time to digest the discussion and Dick`s post. Also, those who may have used AI in the past because they were unaware how that relates to the Wikiloops terms and conditions should be afforded some time to get used to the "new" situation.
One thing that bothers me a bit is that while everyone participating in this thread will have understood that generative AI has no place here, how do we tell the folks that do not read this thread?
Anyway, maybe TeeGee could load up the trolley with some good cigars and Whisky and we can all stare at the moon enoying the feeling of being (mostly) human.

I missed Richard's timely reply while trying to figure out if Enrique M was for real.
I have since learned essential parts that makes this a non-issue for me:
1) Enrique M had been a member a long time ago and was returning, so that he had the option of putting multiple tracks on in the same day.
2) Any NEW Free user is only allowed one upload per week.
3) Any user who uploads something sounding bad will be ignored and eventually leave. This will be an excellent deterrent for those who don't want to pay for this site and remain anonymous.

This is not really a change in policy, as our rules demanded you to be the human author and performer all the time, the added sentence simply hints at what that means regarding AI generated music.
I have also added a detailed help section article to cover any AI music related questions, hoping this will clarify the official wikiloops stance:

If any aspect has been missed or open questions remain, feel free to let me know, once this has overall approval, I'll make sure it is not missed by re-posting it to the blog.
Let me end with stating that we will not bite anyones head off for any past uploads, the community has voiced a legit concern here, so let's move on keeping the collaboration wiki free from purely AI generated experiments.
