Added a funky-ish back beat. Sorry about the quiet section towards the end - forgot it was coming and fell over myself a bit. Ran out of time for another take. Enjoy.

Very cool drumming, great sound! Drums should be louder in the mix=) +2

mpointon Listened a few times to it now and you're right. Sadly I'm mixing on in-ear headhones and, as the track's progressed, you're absolutely right. I didn't want to drown out the original riff. I need some proper studio monitors :( +0

Wooot! High class drumming! Great sound, great accents, great feel! Tnx for this tight ride! +1

mpointon Thanks, Marceys. Really nice riff to play around with :-D. Here's hoping someone will drop a slab of bass on it now! +1
Marceys
Marceys Yeah that would give the track the boost it still needs! I'm sure there is a bassplayer who will like this! :) +0

OliVBee
awsome drumming :) i like the sound of your kit ! +1
mpointon
mpointon Thank you, OliVBee. The kit's a Yamaha 9000 with a vintage Ludwig snare - it sounds good by itself and I just point the mics at it!

An engineer friend told me that to get 100% out the mics you have to put 120% in! Although it doesn't sound it, I'm belting the daylights out of the kit.

OliVBee Brass Black Beauty ? ôÔ ... though i hear more a supra phonic ? +1
mpointon
mpointon You'd be right about the Supraphonic! It's '64 Ludwig 400. Can't afford a Black Beauty! +1
