There is a time
When crying
Is not a crime
Yes there is a time

Now you try to dry your eyes
To see through
The window in your mind
But the blinds are down
Too dark to see
Those days gone by

You sit in the chair
Looking outside
Watching the children play
None of them have a care
Only wonder why
Maybe they don’t care about
Those days gone by

And as you recall
Your own childhood
Wonder if it was full of fun and joy
Do you remember was it good
Or do you forget
Those days gone by

Now there will come a time
When you will look back
And you will start to cry
So open the blinds
Over the window in your mind
And think of
All of those days
Those days gone by.
