BluesyLucille There are many musicians here whom I admire. With some I can play, with others it's more complicated, so it's not a value judgment. I mainly get involved based on my ability or my desire to participate. In your case, Anne and you, and even others, there's a little something extra called shared feeling. The main choice in all cases is based on a love for the music. Sometimes I try, then give up because I'm not satisfied with what I'm doing. +0

Wade I understand perfectly. After 65 + years of playing and so many years of frustration at hearing the lines I wanted to play and not quite getting them right, I'm now able to play exactly what I hear with pretty good accuracy most of the time.

Of course it's just in time for me to start having problems with arthritis. Oh well... +1
