Coffee on the go

And he poured himself another cup of coffee
But it didn\'t take the rainy day away
It was tasty, strong and hot
But that drink was soon forgot
So he brewed another pot, sure it was OK
And he thought he'd like a nibble to go with it
So he opened up the cupboard, like it was a sin
But the craving was intense
and the urge was so immense
that he prized off the lid of a secret cookie tin
He wasn't proud, his conscience speaking loud
He was wondering how his addiction had become an affliction
His body was always high
his restlessness wouldn't die
He'd even started to lie about his daily ration (it was all fiction)
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh he's the man with coffee on the go.
And he needed to get out to take some fresh air
But the air was cold and damp and windy too
So he went to a cafe
Said, just one drink, he wouldn't stay
But the usual crowd said "Hey, how are you?"
So he ordered up another special cup
and looked out of the window to the rain
The drink went down real quick
so he thought that he would stick around a little longer
maybe eat a pastry once again.
