A wonderfully moody track from Mario from nearly two years ago. I'm using a new (to me / used) sax that has a very bright tone... especially for this track. However it speaks so beautifully! The sax comes and goes throughout. I hope you enjoy it.

The track is very beautiful, Wade. But even more beautiful is the sound of this sax. Not only bright, but full of harmonics, even in the low tones. A beautiful presence and sound texture. +1

Wade So glad you hear the potential of this sax. It's kind of the opposite of my "mellow style" and can absolutely "roar". Those low notes I've held in check as they can overwhelm. Maybe I've got to play some rougher/louder music? +1

Kinook I think it's a sound that works well for any type of music. The fact is that it cuts through any background music well, because it has all the harmonics. The bass is mellow and powerful, the mids are very full, rounded, and smooth (beautiful), and the highs are scratchy and leave their mark. I'm struck by how it does this at all volumes without changing its character. A beautiful instrument, it's truly a lead voice, it can do anything well. In this song, however, it seems to me that all that presence slightly changes your typical air of saudage, making it slightly less "dreamy." +1

Kinook Saudage or saudade is Portuguese... it's untranslatable, but its meaning is wonderful and extremely musical. It's a perception, and a sensation at the same time. It's typical of Fado. Fado is a Portuguese musical genre and cultural expression, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. :) +2

Wade OK. I get it! I love the spirit of Fado and of course the high degree of musicianship it requires. I've been to Portugal a number of times and played with former member Nuno and his friends there. They have a love/hate relationship with Fado due to it's association with the former dictator and his regime. I just hear the music rather than the history. +1
