Gerry, here's a bit of violins... your story touched me... my grandfather was a retired violin teacher... I must have been 5 or 6 years old when I saw him play his violin (which I have now) it is perhaps thanks to him that about ten years later I started this instrument like this photo that you posted...alone locked in my room before going out for a few fair notes... thank you for this memory :)
