A Mosaic is a picture that is (like jazz itself) made up of pieces, various and intricately distinct, and yet still forming a structured composition, rather a mosaic.“Jazz Mosaic For Wikiloops” is my Jazz journey celebrating Wikiloops’ 13th Birthday!!! I was inspired by and used drum tracks Jam 24396 and Jam 10003 by Jazzy and Focus5 and other effects. Dick, Wikiloops founder, did so much more than create a music collaboration site. He built a community where musicians want ...

First, it was a little hard to search for these 2 drum tracks, you could put a little # infront of the jam number, and it will be linked right away, #24396 #10003 , i don't know if this was intentional. The drum tracks are very nice

What you do in the beginning seems very modern to me, it always depends on a point of view, 2014 i would have said it sounds 2000'ish, and I'm not even a big listener when it comes to calm music.
So, i recognise the synth, it's a timeless piece of sound, the tempo of the song comes very natural, and your sax adds are not annoying at all, what I mean is it's heavily captivating. Also, the sound management with and around your instrument is so well done. I feel that you've been here at loops since a long time.
I hope I don't bother you with these long reviews, I do that once in a while here.

The ending is very direct, and I like it the most i must admit. Reminds me of the black/white jazz gigs on Tv. I also like when the melody goes up and down on the whole instrument. A simply nice template for a Wiki Birthday

Itocpogo Thank You so very much!!! I do appreciate your long reviews!!! Before finding Wikiloops. I played lots of live gigs when not working my day job. Finding Wikiloops about a decade ago, I found that recording my playing was a devastating wakeup call...so different from live gigs when I could not go back and listen to the performance. I learned it takes a different skill set to record and sound OK. That started my journey to try to sound OK on a recording. I was so impressed with the Wikiloops community that mastered the art of creating and recording Wonderful music. Thanks so much for listening!!! +1

You created an industrial atmosphere at the beginning then your saxophone takes us to slide on the ocean with sweet notes and an incredible flow, then return to the streets of New York for a very urban playing <3 Great track Dan !!! +0
