The Desert
There was a man who came from the future
Riding on the winds of time

What he sees is what remains of, days gone by
He looks around but he knows little has survived


Like a vulture circling high overhead
But nothing remains not even the dead
The sky is black, as the sun tries to shine through
To bring back life as we once knew

Picking through the rubble he finds a picture
He looks at their faces but knows no names
They are all smiling oh so carefree
Little did they know they would cease to be


Then there was a flash in the sky
So bright and blindingly
Moments later they could feel the wave
That sealed their fate and took them to the grave


Long ago there was a warning
You are headed for destruction
Most people did not find it alarming


The skies are no longer blue
