titi
titi Thanks so much for your guitar ;) +1
SoulFingers
SoulFingers Always a pleasure to jam with you. And btw. your sound is fantastic. In some way similar to an accordeon ;) +1
titi
titi This is octave play. But the mechanical system is identical to the accordion except that the bellows is me :D +1
SoulFingers
SoulFingers Many harp players I know use guitar amps and distortion, but the way you play it sounds closer to an accordeon which is excellent for this style of music :D +1
titi
titi Using an amp and distortion covers up the mistakes of the harmonica player well, and many people think that playing "dirty" is good. It's like the motorcycle, it's not because it makes noise that it advances well :) My playing is always acoustic and all the notes are clear. I have an amp for live and a "bike headlight" microphone for the Blues, and this microphone has the sound of a bicycle headlight or bicycle headlight...limited
I normally play on a Shure SM57 microphone with an amp/level table connected to a Peavey amp.

SoulFingers The harmonica player I played with many times had one of these bicycle lamp mics and a small fender valve amp. I always liked that sound and then I discovered a video of Lee Oscar playing clean. A complete different world... +1
titi
titi I do a bit of Blues but that's not what appeals to me because I think it's limited. Except the minor Blues :) which I often include in my playing.

SoulFingers Sounds amazing! There is a blues recording by Eric Burdon and War where Lee's playing made the hairs on my arm stood up (Lee's solo starts at 7 : 28)

But there are many other genres that are inspiring ;)

titi I know. The best Blues player for me was Big Walter Horton. He was amazing, but there's a lot more :) +1
