I feel so lonesome in my saddle...

I feel so lonesome in my saddle since my horse is dead and gone
and I just sit here and cry cause the horse has gone to
heaven.

My mom told me today well you must be my brave boy
you can't sit here and feel pity cause the horse has gone to heaven.

And my dad also told me well if you can't be a strong man
then you need no horse my boy cause the horse has gone to heaven.

I feel so lonesome in my saddle since my horse is dead and gone
and I'm just sitting here and whining cause the horse has gone to heaven.

And now I'm sitting here drinking dreaming about my poor horse
so I can stop from crying cause the horse has gone to
heaven.

I don't know what to do now since my life is so sad and blue
I just want to lie down and die cause the horse cause the horse
cause the horse has gone to heaven.

Well I have no other choice now so I have decided to go to town
so I can buy myself a forty four cause the horse has gone to heaven.

So now I'm sitting here alone with the forty four in my hand
and now I can meet my horse again and I will be and I will be
and I will be in heaven as well.
