So...For years my mailbox down at the road would get wiped out by the snowplows.:o I think they intentionally used it for target practice.:( Well with a little time in my shop I welded up a new mailbox out of 1/2 plate steel, put in a new a new 5inch diameter solid steel post which I sunk 3 feet into the ground and set with 600 pounds of concrete:) It stopped those shenanigans.:D The mailbox still stands!!
Seriously there is some serious power behind that snow coming off of those big plows. That dudes back could have been broken. +2
