Well, not really chilled out! Went pretty full-on in truth with this fab template from Marc. Simple driving beat with a kick matching the key pushes for the yellow sections, switching to a swing snare/tom pattern for the red sections. From there, it gets pretty busy in the blue section before getting just harder and louder to the end! After I'd recorded, I noticed my snare seems to have slipped its tuning - it sounds a bit 'doofy'. Sorry about that. ...

Wow, a funky beat, some cool patterns and stick work, some crazy fast accents coming out of the purple .. phew .. good stuff Martin .. there's a lot in there, always is on these keyboard tracks with you and Marc, well done!! ... a real project!! :O:W:D +1

Hey Martin, very glad you jumped on this track! In fact i was listening to it on my way back from bandrehearsel yesterdayevening and picturing some development on the harmonics and here it is!
Your building is great, dynamics all over and i so much love the way you are accenting the different parts in a track with very smooth transitions!

mpointon Thank you, Marc. I was worried that this approach was the antithesis of the title - distinctly un-chilled out! But I felt it was a great basis for something a little up-tempo and driving. It was mostly inspired by the swung tom/snare section so I wanted each section to be distinct - a kind of track in several movements! +1
