Yes you’re my favorite gator
As I watch you swim upstream
Slowly counting all the fish you’ll eat
Before your gator teeth will gleam

But don’t you start heading our way
Not tomorrow or today

Go on and eat those ugly cane toads
They’re poisonous you see
Coming out to croak at night
While all the critters flee

Why don’t you just feast on them
And let my lanai be?

I know you’ve been here for so long
With your prehistoric ways
You’re uglier than sin you see
With those razor teeth that slay

Think I’ll stay up here
And hope that you’ll just swim away

I’d rather look at birds you see
They’re beautiful in flight
Soaring in and out of clouds
Before they bed for the night

Why aren’t you beautiful like them
You’re such an ugly sight.

I hear you like to feast on dogs
If they get to close to shore
How could you eat those creatures dear
When the pond’s got fish galore

Oh that big ugly mouth of yours
Is nature’s deadly door

I’m Alex the alligator
Swimming upstream for you
I know that I have lots of fish to eat
But to myself be true

I’ll gladly bite off your arm if you want me to.
