Focus5's Bebop drumming is phenomenal!! As he explains in his description it is both 7/4 time at 140 bpm and 7/8 time at 280 bpm. Years ago I made 2 adds in the 140 bpm range and definitely not good or in the Bebop mode. Wow Dan...like not other man!!! Growing up...I played and aspired to be a jazz trumpeter. Some how that fell by the wayside...but I remember listening to public radio radio jazz stations....and this is the stuff I heard man!! All the great....Miles, Getz, Rollins, ...man do you fit in!! +2

Itocpogo Thanks so much, Tom!!!! I appreciate it!! Way back then there were some many bad myths, like to play fast like Charlie Parker, Getz, Rollins you had to be on drugs. Since I was never into that, I figured as a teen, I could never play like that....and then the reality is really drugs has nothing to do with it, you have to dedicate ever waking moment to practicing/studying. Parker, Getz, Rollins practiced up to 10 hours a day for years! School was not important because they lived in poverty and wanted a way out. Yes, I listened to those public radio stations all the time, practiced a lot but not 10 hours a day. I read all the GREATS' biographies and tried to learn from their records. But you too the right path my friend with the Great guitar you play!! +0
