Mein Fahrrad ist tot

so steht es jetzt da
dort, wo es immer war
seit 20 Jahren lebt es nun schon bei mir
und wartet geduldig vor meiner Tür

wieso hab ich das nicht früher bemerkt ?
der Rost ist ja nun schon länger am Werk
die Vorderbremse streikt seit vielen Jahren,
dennoch hat es nie einen angefahren

wie oft hab ich dich berührt,
nie einen Dollar investiert
du warst das beste Pferd in meinem Stall,
und ich sah tatenlos zu bei deinem Verfall

wie oft hab ich dich getreten ..
die Luft ist raus, da hilft kein Beten
zu Fuss gehen möchte ich nicht
Was mach ich nur ohne Dich ?

treu hast du mich begleitet
hast Wind und Wetter getrotzt,
hast mich niemals fehlgeleitet
ich glaub, nun bist du tot
mein Fahrrad ist tot
es ist tot
