The diary has been a good idea. Music sounds completely different when you know who has a dog, who drinks coffee, or who is kicking the tires of a broken motorcycle.. :)

Aito, I`m having a panic attack. My future wife told me last weekend that we should get a dog. Will this change the sound of my music? I`ve run an internet search for dog-owner EQ settings but came up nada. Do I really need to choose between having a relationship and staying true to my sound (and that is MySounds asking :D)?

Don't worry, my friend. I had a dog and i have a wife, so I can answer this!

When you come home from a bar and fall to the floor of the hallway, you always have good company to talk to, as the dog has the energy to listen to your drunken stories. Your wife is more interested where you get the traces of lipstick on the collar of your shirt

When you're walking your dog in the rain, you'll have time to worry about all your worries. They disappear with the rain.
Your wife won't disappear anywhere, even if you sometimes want to be alone for a while.

When your wife yells at you so loudly that her face turns red, the dog will always come to you to ask for petting.

If you lock your wife and dog in the trunk of your car, which one of them will greet you happily when you let them out? Dogs are man's best friend

So, does a dog change your music? Yes!
You will become a much calmer person because the dog will calm your mind. On the other hand, marriage can sometimes raise your blood pressure, so situation evens. So your music won't change much.

I am grateful for the advice. I just hope that Shamika doesn`t get any ideas about a dedicated forum for musicians wives where they can let off steam.

I used to have dogs. Mrs. Gee was not that keen on dogs it has to be said. Anyway, after a few years of marriage we had a couple of kids, and I was quite happy with life as it is. But Mrs. Gee had other ideas, she wanted another baby. So I sensed an opening for a bit or bargaining and negotiations. I told her she can have another baby if I can have a dog :D . Clever, no? Because I would have had the baby anyway, even two more. My Job is easy ;)

Anyways, so my lovely daughter was born 23 years ago. And the dog? What dog???? I was conned!! Tricked!! Denied!!! Dogless ever since!!! No dog :(

Thomas (mysounds) was asking how my move was going and I had to say it's ground to a halt, no views for at least 3 weeks now, and still can't find a good house/location to move to. It reminded me of a song I wrote a few years ago about how being a Leicester City season ticket holder was making a move away harder when I wanted to live by the sea.. But now of course, LCFC are terrible and being relegated to a lower division, they are not a team worth supporting any more so the move is possible. I dug out my old song, it's completely out of date now... but it made me smile :)

-My son hurt his leg at school today. Nothing serious.

I went to pick him up from home, we live about 300 meters from the school. I had to carry him part of the way, though, because his walking was difficult.

I have to admit that a 14-year-old boy weighs a lot. Or maybe I'm just weak. 😁

-I saw the first butterfly of the summer today.

-Actually, summer hasn't started yet. The last ice broke off the pond next to the gym today.

-I have 2 new songs on my computer. I haven't had time to finish them.

-Today i got the new Japanese textbook. I don't understand anything about previous three, but I'm starting the fourth one anyway.

Does there have to be a choice? What happened to the good old may flower AND weed combination?
Anyway...not sure if I like the idea of something strawberrish in my coffee. Sounds like caffein heresy. Though...if she who must be obeyed sees the pic I`m sure I`ll be served one tomorrow.

Rootshell always posts pictures of food that looks good. I went to eat at Viking Restaurant a few days ago, so I had to post a picture. 🙂

I rarely go to restaurants, it's too expensive, but I made an exception that day.

I was quite surprised by people saying they liked reading the diary, even though they didn't always post. It made me want to keep it going (through May at least) ;)

I was also surprised that apparently my English accent sounded right for the Punk genre :D
Being a lyric writer, I love the opportunity to research a subject for ideas. Today I was learning about Stonehenge for a song suggested by a newer member, andyg901. The first thing that came to mind was the Spinal Tap song and story with the same name, I chose the same style with a spoken introduction and historical background.

I've never been to Stonehenge but the Summer Solstice is my favorite (long) day. It happens to be close to Glastonbury (Festival) so my mind connected Rocks (Stonehenge) with getting Stoned (Glastonbury)
So if anyone thinks my lyrics are confusing, that's because of the way they go around my head before I pull them out :)

I love May, my favorite month, not too cold, not too hot. new life emerging, new hope blossoming... blah blah... beautiful <3

Dear Diary, I can't say how important it is to find the right words when the wish arises to write into the Diary. Since I can't find the right words, today, I stay silent. Best regards!

Thanks Hartmut, you represent the regular readers at wikiloops :)

The last day of April, I woke so early and I can't get back to sleep, all fired up to do more wiki-watching now :) I had been listening to Classic FM (bedside radio) hoping some instrumental stuff might help the insomnia, it usually does. Then I decided to come here and find some smooth Blues and Jazz.... Wow, who needs radio when you have a choice of so much great relaxing music on the loops. <3

I can't believe it's already May
We just got over Christmas Day
Now Valentine's is in the past
And the Easter bunny faded fast
The Wiki Diary still survives
The proof is in this years archives
With entries from our Wiki cast
Filling up the pages fast
Keep it going guys and gals
It's good to read your daily tales

Lovely poem Gerry, I added it to the start of the May Diary

To quote F. Scott Fitzgerald
"April is over! There are all kinds of love in the world, but never the same love twice. the end"
