I have made it a habit to check out some wikiloops album on saturday mornings, and I believe this one must have been playing a few times around this morning!
I do like some contemporary instrumental jazz and such artists, and I love to check out full live performances on jazz-festivals as you can find on the internet... bottom line, I'm not a stranger to some far out instrumental sounds coming from my speakers, but I experienced quite a few surprise moments when listening to this album and realizing this is not some top-of-the-chops marcus miller combo playing a tribute to herbie hankock but the result of some meerish mp3 collaboration of some folks on wikiloops.
You brought up some of the real gems here and assembled them in a beautiful way, thank you very much!

I am just listening to the album Instrumentals - especially the song Spanish Dancer is wonderful. Every track contributes to this wonderful sound, no one is trying to stand out as "better than the others", everyone plays so that the other players sound good. And the theme is great, just keeps going without getting boring.

…ridiculously good that is !!
And lets not even compare it with stuff some actually DARE charge money for..

One tune after the other, all of them 5 friggin' star musical moments, true trips.. just WOW !!
I CERTAINLY hope wearing your dino cap has rubbed off on to me the tiniest bit of this awesome musicianship you have in spades !!

Started writing a 1 line review to each song but by the 3rd i thought… what's the point ? It's all right here to hear, every one sounds tremendous in their own way, all fuelled by a super secret, cocktail of red wine, cheeses & of course…. raspberries !!

No idea how I didn't see this the first time around, but sure glad I'm hearing it now. Such a fine assembly of tracks that all have OliVBee as the common touchstone of creativity.

Knowing Oliv, I downloaded this before even listening to it - but doing so confirmed that wow this should be heard, it's all wonderful stuff. I already recommended it to others (outside of Wikiloops), and will continue to do so. Thanks Oliv & friends for sharing such wonderful music here, love it! :)

Each piece made me discover the talent of top musicians. I was transported through every musical universe with pleasure.

La scrivo in italiano, poi chi vorrà la tradurrà nella sua lingua. Un albun bellissimo che scorre in modo fluido dalla prima all'ultima traccia, non mi sono per nulla annoiato e mi domando da quanto tempo non ascoltavo un album di novità dall'inizio alla fine senza saltare l'ascolto di una traccia. Qualcuno dei musicisti lo conoscevo per aver usato la base ed aggiunto la mia parte qui su wikiloops. Credo che questi progetti valorizzino la creatività di singole idee su cui ognuno può aggiungere la sua parte, e rende tutto molto interessante.
