Painting Sounds On Used Canvases

All of the tracks on this album are new versions of past collaborations with the great musicians that make up the Wikiloops collective.

Just like a painter may reuse a canvas already filled with lines and colors to create a new painting, I stripped most of the old tracks down to the initial individual recordings and fleshed them out with new sounds, melodic lines and a new mix. Some of the tracks on this album now sound vastly different to the original recordings but to me the spirit of the former sounds still shines through.

19 musicians from 10 countries created these tracks. Thanks to my friends on Wikiloops who have endured my past sound carpet additions on their tracks without complaining too much. They will, I hope, be equally forgiving for this latest sonic installment.
