Wir saßen um das Feuer,
Carsten, Ralf und Claudia,
und fast hätte ich es vergessen,
ich war ja auch noch da.

An Holz gab es keinen Mangel,
uns wurde ganz schön heiß.
Wir saßen um das Feuer,
in einem engen Kreis.

Es gab auch was zu trinken,
da kümmerten wir uns drum,
eine Kanne kalten Kaffee
und eine Flasche billigen Rum.

Wir erzählten von alten Zeiten,
von wie es früher einmal war.
Das werde ich nie vergessen,
diese Nacht war wunderbar.

Das Feuer in unserer Mitte,
strahlte in einem goldenen Glanz.
Irgendwo muhten ein paar Kühe
in der Weite des Weidelands.

Es gab auch was zu trinken,
da kümmerten wir uns drum,
eine Kanne kalten Kaffee
und eine Flasche billigen Rum.

So ein Abend am Feuer,
irgendwo auf dem platten Land.
Da sitzt man ganz gemütlich
und der Rum geht von Hand zu Hand.
