Bradford Thanks again. Sometimes near the end of a jam, a chorus will 'present itself'. It's like I start to calm down a bit and feel ok playing something more traditionally fitting. Who knows, the verbally-oriented logical thinking brain is just hanging on (and for the most part, criticizing a bit) when the muse is driving. (Is this unique enough, predictable, etc?) Nonetheless, sometimes I'll copy that section and paste it 1 or 2 more times throughout the mix, like I did with this one. +3
hartmut
hartmut I can really relate to that – well put +1

Bradford Yeah, it takes some inner trust to proceed in spite of that opinionated gremlin running its fingernails down the chalkboard. +2

That horn stands out so perfectly on this work. I like your comments below to Hartmut as they seem to be universally experienced (or at least by me). +0

Very cool and melodic improvising, Brad!!!! As long as you are happy with your add then I find the key is to play a "lot"!!! I firmly believe there is no logic to how you think vs me, but I do know it is different just like it was different with Miles vs. Gillespi!!! Your coolest voice is the trumpet and I find to improve my "voice" is to play a "lot"!! I don't mean just recording tracks, practice is valuable not because you can improve your technique but to be more confident in your "voice". Always a pleasure to listen to you!!! +0
Bradford
Bradford Thanks so much for sharing some thoughts. Now that I'm retired (unplanned) I plan on focusing a bit more on some technique. +0
